Mother Nature's Natural High...
IT SNOWED THIS MORNING!!! And it wasn't flurry snow either, it was the real stuff and it was good packing snow too! Too bad the ground wasn't cold enough because it was 60 degrees outside last night when I went for a walk around campus at 1am. You read that right, it snowed less than 7 hours later. 60 degrees to butt cold in 7 hours! Not to mention the wind. You think I'd be used to it considering it's my 3rd year here, but the wind is cold and cuts right through you. Especially since the stupid farmers decided to hack down all their dead cornstalks that kinda block the wind. I think we need a BG campus fort, with man-made hills surrounding campus to block the wind. Or the stupid engineers could have designed campus better to cut down the crazy wind tunnels between the buildings...Ok, I'm done ranting. I do like the snow though, that means that soon I can go skiing!!!!!!!!!!!!
And now that you're done reading my rant, you can mosey on over to the right side of my page and read Naginata's rant, about some dumb face that thinks it would be a good idea to make it so teachers don't have to pay income taxes solely on the fact that their jobs are hard and there's not enough good teachers out there and that the good ones have stopped teaching because the income isn't very high or rewarding. (Man, my english teachers should have been fired because of my previous sentence) I know, being a future teacher type person, you're thinking that I'd agree with this dummy head and his stupid ideas. I don't. Not ONE BIT! The last time I checked, I knew going into my profession that I wouldn't be making a lot of money. Personally, I'd rather do something that I love doing and not make a lot of money than spend the rest of my life making a bazillion dollars doing something I hate. I wouldn't be a happy person AT ALL! I think part of the payment for being a teacher is the teaching part, it's rewarding, and that's why most people are teachers. I know there are a few bad seeds, but that's why colleges are starting to make the GPA higher to get into the education program. Grrr...I hate stupid people. So if you were to offer the income tax break to teachers because they're over worked and under paid, why stop with the teachers? What about the Smokey's (police) and the firefighters? Where do we draw the line? Like Nagi said, soon the only people paying taxes will be Bill Gates and the likes. Grrr.....I can't stand idiots!
