TUBA FUN!!!!

This semester the BG horn choir is playing Bohemian Rhapsody! YAY! The best part? I'm not playing the horn. And there is a piano part and a percussion part. I'm not playing either one of those either. I'm playing the Wagner tuba! How sweet is that? Nothing like bustin' out the rockin' bass lines on Bohemian Rhapsody. Woo! I'm just glad that it's not a bunch of whole notes like most of the low horn parts. I hate "riding donuts" like a 6th grader.

I've never played the Wagner tuba before, so this should be fun. It looks like a squished horn and a tuba or baritone all put together. I'm just glad it uses the same fingerings and is still in the key of F. Apparently the only difference is the bore is a lot bigger.

The crazy part is that Rawilli put me on the Wagner tuba with 3 performance majors. How crazy is that? I was gonna audition for the lead "soloish" part, but I got lazy and didn't really look at it. I had a chance even though i got the part 3 days before the audition. Dammit! I need to stop being lazy and unmotivated. I'm happy that I got the Wagner tuba part though, it should be a fun challenge! Woo!
