Counting Down...

3 days until Vegas! Woo! I can't wait! I would like to thank the committee that chose the dates because they couldn't have been better. See, this coming weekend also happens to be the annual OMEA (Ohio Music Education Association) conference in Columbus. Because music education is my major along with 300+ other people, we all go to this conference every year. It begins on Thursday and ends on Saturday, therefore so many people miss class that it has now become an excused absence from class. I know, all but one of my classes have attendance policies. I was having problems coming up with excuses to go to Vegas and have it not have an effect on my grade, when *lightbulb* it's the same weekend as OMEA! So all my profs think that I will be in Columbus this weekend, but I will be in a better place! The bad part is getting all my work done before I go. There is so much I have to get done before Wednesday, it's insane. I have 3 playing tests that I have to practice for, a theory project where I have to compose a piece in the style of Debussy, a music history quiz that I have to do the listening for, and random meetings at night with people for projects due later. It's a good thing that I'm pretty much already packed because 6:30am Thursday will come awful early! Here's hoping that it doesn't dump an ass load of snow in Detroit on Thursday (which is quite possible) and I can find the airport (that shouldn't be too bad). I just can't wait until Thursday. Until then, my motto is "Work hard, play harder..."
