Educational Delimma
I had a meeting with my advisor today. It was determined that I will graduate sometime in the year of 2006. Thing is, it's up to me on whether it's the spring or fall of '06. See, i have 40 credit hours left to still take. That's 3 semesters plus a semester of student teaching. Four of those classes are gen eds that I can take in the summer here or Sinclair Community College. I will be in BG next summer, but I can take a 3 credit hour class at Sinclair for the price of one credit hour here. Either way, somehow, i'm gonna have to pay for and extra semester. Here's the real delimma. Do i want to graduate in the spring or fall? Here's what I'm thinking right now.
Spring (May) of '06 - Get the hell out of college sooner, don't have to pay for another semester, Can start a job the next fall. The only thing is that I student teach during concert band season...boring!
Fall (December) of '06 - Get to student teach during marching band season (BIG pro), don't have to take summer classes. Graduating in December means that it's the middle of the school year, therefore, I'd have a job as a substitute teacher or something like it, then get a job the next fall. Also, I can't let my younger brother graduate before me.
Maybe I'll call my uncle or the Cain-dog and ask them what they would recommend. I also just remembered something else, the younger brother and I will be graduating at the same time. Kinda freaky! My Mom told me a secret yesterday too. Apparently when I graduate, my parents will have my Mom's car paid off and are thinking about giving me my Mom's car when I graduate. Now that's cool :) If any one of you incredibly cool people who reads this have any input, feel free to let me know :)
Oh, and Bartok the Bat is no longer lonely, he's back here at school chillin' on my monitor :p
