Crossed Eyes

Boredom has taken over so today I went and had lunch with my Dad, and then spent a little Christmas money. Only $60 too! I bought some CDs and the 5th season of The Simpsons. I came home and watched the first disc, and was pleased when i heard the S-M-R-T song and numerous other quotes I use A LOT :) I can't wait to sit down and watch the other 3 discs. After that I drove to Blockbuster and used some of my $20 giftcard to rent a couple games. Being a Gameecube, The selection of games I know I like is limited, so I chose some that I will probably never buy, but was curious to see how good they were. So i picked up Harry Potter 3 and The Incredibles. Both suprised me with how much fun they actually are.

Harry Potter is a lot like the Zeldas on N64. There are puzzles to figure out and the actions are almost the same, equipping things to X and Y and using different spells. There is also the sliding against walls and the game jumping for you (which like because 99.9% of the time that's how I die). It's fun figuring out the puzzles, in a way it's an Action RPG for kids. Nothing like getting them started early :)

The Incredibles is pretty cool too. It's not exactly hard, but requires a little thought and quick button pushing when you are Mrs. Incredible and swinging like Spiderman. I like that there are parts of the movie incorporated into the storyline of the game. Wait. It is the movie, in game form. The movie clips are cool because, well, at times it's hard to distinguish game from movie clip, and that's cool.

WoW has taken a backseat to the Gamecube for a couple days. I also have been playing a lot of the Simpsons Hit and Run. My parents got it for me for Christmas. It's pretty sweet, and hard at times. But no one likes an easy game! Also the microphone games in Mario Party 6 are full of awesome. So if anyone wants to come play games with me during the day, or all night, gimme a call. Until then, I will entertain myself with Gamecube, Simpsons and a tiny bit of WoW until my eyes are crossed :)
