Cops, Fish and Hills
Saturday Eric had a party for the first time in a long ass time. We were having a merry ol' time playing volleyball and cornhole when we broke out the beer pong table. After that got boring 2 of us suggested that we teach some noobs how to play flip cup. Before you know it 3 or 4 Clearcreek Township cops show up, right as we were cheering because we just finished a round of flip cup. They walk back there all big and bad waiting to break up an underage party. They ask for IDs as discovering that we were all of age, turned into cool guys. We were surprised because we have been MUCH louder before, especially when the pool is open. The cops said it wasn't immediate neighbors, but some down the road. We're thinking someone in the new houses around there didn't know about the parties because it's been awhile. The sad part, it was only 11:15. What a bunch of losers. 11:15 on a Saturday night the first nice weekend of the year, give us a break. The cops told us to have a nice night and be safe.
Sunday I went fishing with my brother and Chief. I didn't catch anything because I never do, but my brother pulled out a 10lb catfish. Chief tried to eat it again. Dumb dog.
This morning I decided that I would take Chief and go running at the park since it is oh-so-far-away. I get up there and realize that 1. Its been 2 weeks since I've gone running and 2. There are hills here, i found that out last summer on rollerblades resulting in a broken wrist. My decision was uphill in the sun or shade? I chose shade. Because uphill is also the last 1/2 mile of the run. Also, when you run by a stagnant pond in 80 degree weather, it smells. Bad enough to make me gag as i was running by. I have a strong stomach, it was that bad. I have never smelled the pond that bad. Not only did i run past it once, but 3 times. *shudder*
I also visited the band at the high school today. I felt bad because I hadn't been back there since October. I walked in and found that Caindog was in a meeting and that I would be conducting the wind ensemble. It was scary at first. Especially when Caindog walked in. He then made me conduct another entire piece. It became fun once i got comofortable on the podium. Sight reading is fun! And I hear it's good for me :)
