My Mom Goes to College

So I didn't pass my jury. There was some debating for about 10 or 15 minutes (at least it seemed like forever), and they decided that I got another shot. Which means that I was close, and is better than the other option of waiting until next semester. There were some uncontrollable factors that played into my playing ability being hindered, mainly being incredibly rushed due to the poor planning on my horn professor's part, thinking that I can get through a 16 minute piece and a 7 minute piece in 19 minutes. I may not be a math major, but I can add. 16+7 does NOT equal 20! (Now I'm waiting for some math person to prove me wrong :P)

Then I drove back to the Boro. Not having been here since August 10th or so, I must say it's nice to be back. I really haven't seen anyone except my brother and his friends. Friday I got some Chipotle with my Dad and brother (Mom was at work), and then hung out with his friends and played PS2 all night. Then Saturday I helped my Dad with the Dorothy Lane Market delivery that he does on weekends to help a friend get his distribution company off the ground. Lets say when you have 3 boxes of Killer Brownie in your lap with a giant tiramisu cake and a thing of super yummy looking caramel apples of the super gourmet type, it's hard to not drool. Even for someone like me who oddly lacks a sweet tooth about 3 weeks of every month. That made me happy, then I got to keep an ENTIRE Killer Brownie. I've had it for less than 24 hours and it's gone. I was nice and shared some, but screw savoring it, I ate the crap out of it :)

Then I went to the Haunted school bus ride in Wilmington with the brother and friends. It was pretty sweet. They chop the tops off of school busses and pretty much take them off roading. You get hit by a semi with flames coming out of the stacks, and there's a cop car that also hits you and the scary people jump on the bus and stuff and bang the sides it's pretty sweet. It's the first haunted anything I've been to in like 4 or 5 years. After that I went and hung out for about an hour with Mommy and Danno.

So this morning here I am, I think I'll clean out my car, considering that I have pretty much lived out of it since well, August. It's pretty gross. So those are my big plans. Woo! I should practice, but I don't think that is possible, seeing that the inside of my lip is cut to hell. I was planning on taking the buggy for a final spin, but alas, there is no exhaust on it, the new exhaust tips are in the mail. It's loud with the exhaust, I'm not about to drive it without exhaust. Also it's cold, like high of 50 cold. Funny in March I'll be doing carwheels when it hits 50. I could put the top on the buggy, but it's not as much fun driving that way.

Also, I can't help but laugh at my Mom. She just started going back to school a week ago today. It's funny watching her freak out about studying this and reading that, and doing these questions, and every question has to be right. I laugh because, well, that's what she used to do to me when I was stressed about school. That and I keep trying to give her some ways to do the questions without reading EVERYTHING, because she reads EVERYTHING! It's just funny/odd seeing my Mom, struggling to do the things that I've done the past 5 years, and realizing that it's not as easy as it looks, and at the same time, she's making it harder than it needs to be by totally flipping out and getting herself in a frenzy. It's cool that she's going back to school and all. Maybe I'm a cold-hearted, unsympathetic bitch?
