Die Praxis

To become a teacher in pretty much any state in the US you have to take these stupid tests called Praxis tests. It's like the SAT or ACT for teachers, only your score doesn't matter, you just have to pass. The sucky part? Getting up at 5:30am on a SATURDAY and getting home at 5:30pm. I had to take 2 tests. Music Content Knowledge and the Principles of Learning and Teaching Grades 7-12. Each test was 2 hours long. The second one had 12 essay/extended response questions. Needless to say I needed one of Nagi's incredible hand massages after than one. The last 3 questions were almost painful and the fact that you weren't allowed to use mechanical pencils sucked. Old school pencils are WAY too tiny, and only helped with the cramping.

Overall, I think I did ok. I'm just hoping that it's not one of those situations that I feel like I passed, when I really didn't. My bank account can't take another $200 hit to take the tests again. And if/when I do, I think my hand might actually fall off.
