Waking Up
So my idea of waking up at 6am is not waking up at all. What makes it even worse is waking up for a 7am appointment with the dentist. But it was the only time they had this week, and I needed to go, or it would be until May before I can go again.
I HATE the dentist. I'll go through another foot surgery (minus the broken wrist) to not go to the dentist. I'm crazy right? I have my reasons. I had braces for 5 years. not only braces, but an expander and a bar behind my bottom teeth. I really was a metal mouth. People were always messing with my mouth, and moving stuff around. I go to the dentist, and more poking and prodding happens. Then I became a music major and messing to horribly with my mouth messed up my playing for weeks. Since I've been at school, it's quite possible to say that I've become a little OCD about my mouth. Even the routine cleaning at the dentist messes with my playing a little bit. I like the feeling after the dentist, but I'm never doing a 7am dentist appt again. EVER! (if I can help it)
I also got the news that my wisdom teeth should come out. I have 2. One on each side on the top. The Doc says that it will be real easy if he gets them while they're still under the gum and that my recovery time will be around 24 hours. Again, messing with the mouth. Here's what I'm saying. 1. They don't hurt 2. They're barely in the x-ray 3. They don't hurt 4. They don't hurt 5. Oh yeah, they don't hurt. Also, I'm 23. If they were going to come in all the way, they would be a lot farther along than they are now. I could barely see them in the x ray. Also, if it doesn't hurt, it doesn't need fixing....unless it's a 9cm tumor on the left side of my spine resting against my aorta. So those teefs are staying right where they are until they remind me that they're there, and hopefully they never do.
Speaking of waking up, I have to do that early now for student teaching that starts next Tuesday. My first day, my teacher is having me teach a clarinet lesson (eep!) and switch a trumpet player and a flute player to tuba. Any bets they'll pass out? I also just found out the band is going to Florida over spring break to do the Magic Music Days thingy that I did in high school. I think it's a requirement for high school bands to do that. So I get to go with them for that. That kinda foiled my Spring Break plans to hang out with the better half like I usually do, but you gotta do what you gotta do I guess. Plus the kida sound pretty cool, so it should be fun.
I'm trying to think or ways to cheaply entertain myself the rest of this week, seeing as I have nothing to do. I guess there's always WoW to be played....

If the dentologist says they need to come out, you should really get them pulled out.
I mean, come on, he's got a family to feed.
Story time: I had my wisdom teefs pulled out (strangely enough, my Mom and I had exactly the same number and placement of wisdom teeth). It didn't hurt much, and my post-anesthetic recovery was "typical for me".
As in... "Nathan, wake up, would you like a glass of water? Just lie there for a little while, you'll be ready to go in a half hou... wait, sit back down, are you sure you're... ok, let me get your coat for you."
THen you ate Chipotle with my parents and I like the next day or something.
He sais that by the next day I'll be good as new, probably a ploy to get me to feed his family. My mouth doesn't get messed with until it needs it!
