Valentine's Rant
So tomorrow is Valentine's Day. Woo. An unenthusiastic woo. I really don't see the point of celebrating it. And no, this rant is not because I'm single. I'm NOT single, nor do I plan to be anytime in the next forever. I'm very attached. Anyway, here's my 2 cents.
There shouldn't be one day designated to say 'I love you' to your significant other or show others you care, and all that other stuff Valentine's is about. In a perfect world, everyone would treat everyone like that everyday. Sure, I don't mind getting flowers and stuff, but getting them at spontaneous times is WAY better than getting them when others do. Which brings me to my next point.
It's WAY too commercialized, just like the holidays earlier in the winter time, and Sweetest Day and whatever other day there is to create revenue for the candy business. People have lost what the 'holiday' really means. I like the perks of chocolate being on sale, like the rest of the world, but seriously, ladies don't put your man in the doghouse if he doesn't get you anything. I'm sure that if he's worth keeping, he does his fair share the rest of the year.
Also, if I get even one Valentine from a student tomorrow, I don't know what I'll do.
Also also, on a different note, I ran a mile for the first time since September. Tomorrow is 2 miles, then I'll go from there to get back up to where I was this last August. Florida is in 2 months and I don't wanna be the fat band director person laying by the pool. The 15 pounds I put back on last semester have got to go! I have a good start, I've lost 5 pounds in the past week!

re Valentines: I'm so glad you feel that way! :p
re Exercise: woot. More power to me, or whatever. I also need to drop a couple (dozen) pounds ><
Looking back on my previous comment, it really makes me look bad.
Rather than keep digging, I'm just going to point that out, I guess?
