I spent the hours between 11 am and 4pm filling out applications so I won't be poor next year. What sucks is that as a first year teacher with no xp, you'll take just about any job offered. The other problem is that even though you have a "target area" for the ideal job, you have to pretty much cast a net over the whole country, and that's pretty much what i did today. I filled out applications for schools in the following states...
-Texas (2)
-Missouri (2)
-Indiana (2)
-New Mexico (2)
-South Carolina (1)
-Tennessee (2)
-Georgia (1) (I DON'T want to live there)
Notice that there aren't any Ohio schools on that list....All the OH schools with openings are in podunk.
That's about all I have for this post. Also, it's thunder storming here, that makes me happy :)

Aw.. What's wrong with Georgia?
(Actually, there's a lot wrong with GA.) Where is the school?
I don't really know where the school is, but there's something about Georgia that just doesn't appeal to me. Maybe it was all those horrible drive through GA on the way to Florida.
Come visit! Georgia's not all that horrible. (Certainly better than Florida, one of the world's centers of evil)
