Post Disney

I guess this can be considered my post Disney Post. The whole trip was awesome and much better than when I went in high school. It was completely laid back, and I had no student responsibility. I got to know the kids a lot better, and a lot of them talk to me now. It's pretty cool. They got me on Tower of Terror and I HATE droppy rides like that, until they're over, then I'm like "Let's do it again!" I rode that and Rockin Rollercoaster with some kids, that was fun. Our bus was awesome too. Charter buses hold ~50 people with one person in every seat. Our bus? 35 people, and that includes the 11 adults/chaperones, so the amount of students was small, but that made it fun. We also had a 4 year old girl on the bus, and we saw her get on and thought "great, this is gonna suck." I will say, she was the cutest and most well behaved 4 year old I know. She was all excited about meeting all the Disney Princesses and getting character autographs, it almost made me want kids....Almost being the key word there. I think it reinforced that I like good, well behaved kids, as long as they aren't mine.

We also played some awesome games that the other buses didn't, and gave away prizes. The games included:

-Bus 2 Idol
-Brain Teasers
-A Joke Contest
-Various Movies
-Hot Potato (with a stuffed Tigger as the Potato)
-Dirtiest Sock Contest
-Smelliest Shoe COntest (the orchestra director volunteered to be the judge)
-Hairiest part that should be shaven contest
-Bus 2 Idol Season 2
-Lotsa movies, including the Holy Grail

All in all it was a fun trip.

It was interesting though, when they all found out about the rock on my left hand. No one knew that I even had a boyfriend, so it was all a shock to them, and there were jokes that I met him that weekend and got enagaged, but the kids freaked out, especially since there were only 4 boys on the bus. it sounded like a John Mayer concert when I annouced it over the bus PA system. That was follwed by the telling of how it happened and questions like when's the dat and stuff that I don't know yet. I think there are also about 5 pictures of my hand wandering around as well, after exclamations of "That's the biggest real diamond I'ver ever seen!" Followed by where does he live and what does he do and how did you meet and how long have you been dating questions. And when I told them the answer to the how did you meet question, they all wanted to puke. See, because the answer was marching band, and it was a marching band trip...

All in all it was a good week, and it makes me hate NW Ohio even more. I have a nice tan, and it still hasn't hit me that I've been engaged for a little over a week, despite the roommates IMing me links to pictures of wedding dresses...

Well behaved kids are a result of well-disciplined kids. I think you could handle that.... Also you'd be a cool Rugby Mom.

Congratulations again! When do we get to see the rock?

Mom. Yeah right. Right now I don't see myself as a Mom...ever.

I'll post a picture whenever I can get Gimp to take a picture as my digital camera is broken.
