So this past weekend was fun, as it always is when I'm in Indy :) I ate A LOT of food, and hang out with some cool people.
Today I got back and realized that tomorrow will be my first official day teaching. Finally, I'm getting paid to do a job I actually like doing! What's up with that. I've never actually wanted to go to work. Friday I went in and met a couple girls that were helping to wash the uniforms. They started telling stories about bus rides and all that stuff (a lot of the teams they play are in Cincinnati) and talking about having to pull over for such and such funny reason. I kept thinking to myself "Isn't that a pain to pull 3 buses into a gas station?" Then I realized that there were only 20 kids in the band, they only need one bus. And now I just realized that every Friday night for about 2 months I will be sitting on that bus with them. The kids seem pretty cool. Should be fun. Can't wait to get the marching rust off them tomorrow.
I also have to get ANOTHER background check and fingerprints done. It's the same thing I had done earlier for the Ohio Dept. of Education, but this time I have to go through the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, and watch a movie about not abusing kids. I did the same thing when I taught in the Catholic school in BG less than a year ago. I informed the secretary of the school of this, and she said I had to have it done again. Even if I taught at that school, quit and went back a month later, I'd have to do it again. Crazy Catholics. No, wait, I blame the priests...
That's all for now. Hopefully tomorrow goes well. Gotta go look through my book of breathing exercises so I can torture the kids :)
