Once a Band Bitch...

.....always a Band Bitch.

I'm here at school and I was sick of the school laptop and its seedy ways. It likes to blue screen, then turn on but not turn on. All the lights that come on when it's on turn on, but the screen stays off. It just started doing that a couple days ago. So I decided to bring in my laptop from home. I did that and found a teacher that also has a mac and connected his, so he got mine connected and I'm good to go....3 days before I'm done here....but for those 3 days, I don't teach...at all. And I found out that WoW isn't blocked. Dange Will Robinson, there's my entertainment, but there is something I'm supposed to be doing, that I don't want to do.

See, the band music library is in the basement of the school in this little room that smells like, well, basement and old paper. All the music is in the far back corner. My task is to sort through all the OMEA solos and see if they are on the list for this year of not by instrument. If they are, they go in one folder, if they aren't they go in another folder. I was down there yesterday for 2 hours and got through the flutes and clarinets. I'm not really a fan of doing the grunt work around here. In fact, it makes me quite angry. I think I'm going to walk down to the office and tell them I want to sub in-house Monday and Tuesday because this hanging out in the basement stuff is for the birds.

Also, the culinary arts classroom is next to the band office. Today they're making apple pie. Torture.

Oh well, back to the basement.
