So I almost bought an '06 Chevy Cobalt tonight.
I drove it, in fact, they let me keep it for 24 hours. I'm not gonna buy it. I think I'm pretty sure about that.
It's a nice car, I like it, I can afford to take on a car payment in maybe a couple months, but not right now. My rent is not cheap, due to it only being a 6 month lease, I have a loan payment that is about half the amount of my rent, and there are lots of up front hidden expenses when it comes to moving (deposit, u-haul, those random trips to Walmart to get stuff you forgot) while I could afford to take on a car payment, living paycheck to paycheck is just not my style. I guess that means when it comes down to it, I can't afford it. I would have a couple hundred left a month, but that's not enough to make me comfortable. I like knowing that just in case something happens, (and we all hope nothing does) I won't be up shit creek without a paddle. If I can get my car to survive a couple more months, when I know for sure how much I'm making, and what expenses are, I'll get a car. Now if my car 'splodes somewhere in Indianapolis, then I'll call Nagi to come get me, tow my car to the nearest dump, and bite the bullet.

L2ImpulseBuy, noob.
Wait, no, the other one. I'm sure glad you're responsible with your money, saves me some trouble :)
Yeah, my Dad is whole-heartedly against me NOT buying the car. He doesn't seem to get that I'm not comfortable spending the money, when so many things are still up in the air.
