Today was day one of packing. I don't like it. At all. It is helping me clean out the giant collection of clothes I have accumulated since last summer. Also, the move has sadly, gotten me to get rid of some shoes that I have kept for no good reason. i.e. the Adidas sambas from 7th grade the the yellow chuck taylor's from my sophomore year of high school. And some really ugly sandals. So far there's a bag of shoes and 2 bags of clothing waiting to go to Goodwill.
I also went through the stuff on the shelf of my closet that hasn't been touched in 3-4 years. There I found a bunch of crap I don't know why I saved. There were corsages from the high school dances, notes from Nagi and other high school friends. Hall passes from high school, and the letter that was supposedly from Ed to tell us he was leaving. I threw all that away. I think there have been about 4 trash bags of trash that have left the room. It's amazing finding what things you really care about and/or need when you really have to.
So far I've packed my Cds and DVDs and gamecube games in a box, and my shoes into a box, and all the clothes in my drawers into one suitcase. I think tomorrow is under the bed day and laundry day day, and towel and bedding day. Tomorrow is also find out if my application to the apartments I want to live in gets accepted. I don't see why it shouldn't.
Also, I'm gonna get a cat, depending on how much more it costs me per month on my rent. Name suggestions?
