It's a Creative Christmas

In my family the pictures that we have are nowhere near organized. Especially since we moved 5 years ago. All the pictures are thrown in boxes, all bent and smashed. There are even pictures of me as a baby next to pictures of parties my parents went to before I was thought of. It's crazy! It's a pain to look for a certain picture because I have no idea where to start. The best thing I can do when I want to find a picture is set aside a few hours, venture down in the basement, pick a box and start looking.

Where am I going with that story? Well, my parents went to Hawaii this past October as a result of winning a contest at a friend's store. In hunting for a inexpenisive Christmas present for them I came up with the ingenious idea of putting their Hawaii pictures in a scrapbook. Over Thanksgiving break, I snuck the card out of the camera, copied the pictures to a CD and brought them back to school and printed them out on photo paper. I'm such a sneak!

Over the course of working on this scrapbook I have found out that my parents are not bad at taking pictures at all. There are quite a few pictures that my parents took that are just awesome. Granted, the fact that it's Hawaii helps, but there are some really really good pictures. Most of the time I bet the pictures were "hey that's kind of cool...click" with no thought put into them whatsoever. There is one in particular that stands out in my mind all the time. It's just a picture of a grassy knoll, but for some reason it's just a really cool picture. It must be the lighting or something. I even set it as my desktop picture. For some reason I think it's a cool picture.
