A Rather Oudoorsy Day...

So I got trashed last night. That's all I'll say about that, if you want to know the details, talk to me some other way :)

Today was fun. The Roomie '04 group went up to stupid state of Michigan to go to Cabella's, the outdoorsman store in Dundee. It was a blast, we pulled up and they had a couple with their sled dogs hanging out in front, so we got our pictures taken with them, then we went inside and looked around. The store is HUGE! It's only 200,000 square feet, we all know that's a tiny place. The inside of the store is also full of stuffed animals that they shot and had stuffed. They did it all for educational purposes. There are mountain goats, tons of moose, some water buffalo, lions, an elephant, foxes, wolves, and a bazillion types of birds. There's even a display of a big moose in the middle of the water with live rainbow trout swimming around it. After looking around at all the crazy things for the outdoorsman, like the "Portable Loo" and crazy cool tents and their GIGANTIC tank full of locally caught fish like walleye and pike, went went back outside to pet the dogs some more and take pictures by the huge fighting bear statue. The store is crazy impressive. The whole reason we went? Just because we could. There's no work to be done because next week is finals week, so the hard part of the semester is over :) I put a link to some of the pictures at the bottom of this post.

Also while we were in Dundee, we saw this sign for a Beef Jerky Outlet. Beef jerky is yummy stuff, so we decided to stop. This store wasn't impressive size wise like Cabellas, but they had every kind of jerky you could think of, beef, venison, bison, turkey, even alligator. It was just an interesting place.

Then Diana decided that she wanted to treat everyone to dinner at Outback. I had the prime rib like always and a Wallaby Darned. THE BEST DRINK EVER!!! It was yummy and crowded. We waited about an hour and forty-five minutes just to sit down. The food was worth it and we had a lot of fun in the car. The discussions were, well...interesting....

Today was just a much needed stress reliever after this past week from hell. I can't wait to go back to da 'Boro and crash! Also for those of you who want to go, there will be numerous trips to go skiing made by me, so if you want to join, call me or IM or something! YAY SKI SEASON!!!
