Ford Tough
When I got back from Nashville yesterday, I called the parents to tell them that I was still alive. After telling them how it was yadda yadda yadda I was informed that 1.) My Mom no longer has a job (which i knew was happening) and 2.) My Dad went out and bought a new truck.
About a month ago the place that we take our cars to to get fixed informed my Dad the the tranny on the Silver Bullet was going bad. A '96 Taurus wagon with 140+k miles is deserving of a new transmission. That got my parents thinking, if the car is only worth 2-4 grand, then why spend the money on the tranny only for something else to go wrong down the road. That gave my Dad the itch. My Dad could also be jealous because my Mom also has a new car. Anyway, to get to the point, over the weekend my Dad went and bought a 2001 Ford F150 Pickup with an extended cab. It's only a V6, but it's a 5 speed manual (YAY!). It's also bright red. So now I still have keys from 2 cars that we no longer own. If i get rid of them, it makes my keychain feel empty. I know, I'm weird.
Now the car count at my house is the '79 El Camino, '92 Ford F150, '94 Ford Escort (yay my car!), '01 Ford F150, '02 Olds Alero. Whee! 2 Red F150s. Crazy huh?
