Things I Learned Today...

They say you learn new things everyday. Today I learned 2 new things! OMG-la! I learned that 1.) I really really, never ever wanna have spawnlings that I call my own and 2.) I am never ever allowed to play poker again.

So today at work was Math-Science day. Pretty much a day where the teachers give the mostly jr. high and a few high school age kids a busy work worksheet they have to fill out. The once they have that worksheet done they can pretty much spend the rest of the day wreaking havoc in the park. 14,000-16,000 Teenagers turned loose in an amusement park with not even a quarter as many chaperones (some schools didn't bring chaperones) to control the hellions. That leaves the employees of the amusment park (that would be me) to attempt to keep them under control. Calm and laid back me almost got in a fist fight, and pretty much lost my voice. Doesn't help that I'm sick as a dog either. I don't get paid enough to babysit other people's spawns of satan. There were many nice kids, but more than enough hell-raisers. Why is it so cool to try and stand up on the carousel horses, spit and throw stuff off the tower, and cut through lines? Thank God the park was only open until 6 or there would have been death. Never has the tower crew gone to BW3's after work just to drink. That's what we did today.

After a hell day at work, I went to Eric's to play a little poker. There were only 4 of us, so it was fun. There was a $5 buy in and I came home with $2.50. That didn't help my night, but it was fun, and there was more beer. I don't really care that I lost it because now that I think about it, it was part of the $20 my Dad handed me before work this morning. I did learn that I'm really good at falling for bluffs. Now I shouldn't have said that because everyone will try to bluff me (and succeed) if we play in Gatlinburg. 25 days until Gatlinburg! Whee!

Now I'm going to bed because I have this head cold thing that has aided in taking away my voice and makes me feel like shit.
