Death to Music...
After I froze my booty off walking to the music building to retake a part of my piano proficiency, I realized something was missing. It took me a good half hour to figure out what it was. Noise. Music. Sound. Those were all missing. It was eerie. Juries are over, and there aren't any music exams this late, so there was no one there. On the 3rd floor (where all the practice rooms are) I was practicing the piano and there was a trumpet player. That was it. Most of the time there are a bazillion saxes, and one or 2 or every other instrument. It was creepy, like death had fallen over the CMA. Better yet, it was like walking through a mall before it closes when all the music is off, or being at an amusment park during the winter (I've been there). It was like a scene from a horror movie and I didn't like it. Not one bit. I guess that means the semester is finally over. YAY!
On a good note (no pun intended) I passed my piano proficiency! I might be seeing some sort of light at the end of the tunnel. After spring semester I will be done with piano and theory, and I will only have one more Aural skills, music history and instrument class left. Then i can start taking the classes that are more relevent to my major, like conducting and band scoring and all the teaching methods classes. Whoopie!
For those of you who care, I will be back in the 'Boro Thursday afternoon. Call me! I'll be bored! As much as I love my dog, there's only so much of him I can take, sitting on my butt I can do and only so much Chipotle I can eat :) MMmmmmm....Chipotle....*drool*
